Mark for Model Number Jenn Air JMC8100 ADB Microwave stopped working mid-use. Would like to replace the fuse before turning it into garbage. Fuse is part AP4243229. Problem is that I've removed control panel and don't see old fuse. Can't figure where it is located in this unit (part diagram also not helpful). Next step would be to remove outer metal case, but 2 of the 5 screws are specialty (they are star shaped, with a raised dot in the middle that prevents using a regular star-shape screwdriver bit). Any idea on how to remove screws to see if I can find the fuse? Or is there another way to locate the fuse through the front (control panel), since that is all open now.
Answer Hello Mark. You need to use a tamper proof torx bit to remove those screws and the outer cover to access and replace the fuse in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, February 27, 2014
