Joan for Model Number rbd275pdb11 Cleaned my lower oven, set the top oven to clean and left the room returned later and the panel was blank. Nothing works, not even the light in the oven. I had the control bard replaced a couple of years ago, but t was actually the breaker. The same problem was the reason for the repair call before. What could it be. The breaker was replaced and was checked after this last failure.
Answer Joan, Very good, You're on target. If the thermal fuse WP4451042 opens, due to an overheat situation, the control panel will no blank and the oven will be inoperable. When you replace the fuse, make sure you route it and the wiring away from the front grille opening ( above the opening as best possible, that will get it out of the high temperature airflow, and make it last longer. Also check and make sure the oven door closes and seals properly and the circulating/cooling fan comes on during the clean mode. Read More...
