Yel Nuheg for Model Number WOS51EC0AS02 Issue: If the oven is set to 200 degrees, the screen displays the current temperature (as “lo”) and the words, “preheating”. The display correctly shows the temperature rising (although at a rate that is much slower than most ovens). When the desired temperature is reached a tone is voiced, the oven display shows the temp (200°), and the display prompts the user to insert food in the oven. All good so far. However, if you press “Cancel”, change the temperature to 350°, and press “Start”, the oven display shows “177 degrees - Baking” and never changes. Although the oven does heat up there is no way to tell when, or if, it hits 350° because there is no change in the display and no auditory tone to indicate that the desired temperature was reached. This malfunction occurs even if different temperature settings are used. Any suggestions?
Answer Yel N. You will want to check the oven sensor to make sure that the sensor has a resistance at room temp of 1090 ohms. You can also check at a higher reading by adding 2 ohms for every 1 degree of temperature rise. If this checks ok then the issue will most likely be in the control board that is faulty. Read More...
