Bobbie for Model Number AER6303MFS1 My Whirlpool oven (1 1/2 years old) doesn't cook properly when baking. The oven heats up but the food never fully cooks. I'm not a professional, but I used my OHM meter to test both oven elements and they were OK. The temperature probe checked out OK as well. I saw on-line that there is also a safety thermostat on the back of the stove (which I didn't happen to check). Am I correct in thinking that this safety thermostat would totally shut down the oven if bad, or could that possibly be the problem, and cause the oven to not heat properly when baking? Any other suggestions? P.S. The broil function seems to work fine.
Answer Bobbie, the broil element does connect to a thermal fuse WP3196548 that would stop the broil element from working, however, the bake element does not. As the bake element and oven sensor have tested good, the only part left that could cause this issue would be the main control W10904904. Read More...
