Eric for Model Number khms155lss-1 The microwave has zero power. I've checked for continuity on the thermal fuse in my unit and the fuse is most definitely blown. It looks rather accessible after pulling off the front control panel, but there is a big piece of plastic (part of the fan housing I think?) blocking me from getting to the fuse. How do I replace the fuse? Also, when replacing the fuse, what precautions do I need to take with nearby high-voltage components (aside from unplugging the microwave)? Thank you!
Answer Hello Eric. Make sure the unit is unplugged. Remove the outer cover to access and replace the fuse. Also, check the door switches as they usually cause the fuse to blow. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
