Richard for Model Number KUDS30IXSS4 I tested and am sure the Thermal fuse is bad. Never had any issues just tried to use the dishwasher today and the control panel was dead. Is the fuse a item that could fail due to age or power cycles are should I be looking for something else before replacing the fuse?:
Answer Richard, before you replace the thermal fuse kit W10402110 there are a couple of things to check . Remove power to the dishwasher, access the power connections in the junction box on the dishwasher front frame and check the wires for discoloration or signs of arcing. reattach the wires and make sure the wire nuts are on good and tight. then check the heater element and wires, then check the high limit thermostat WPW10195091 for circuit and wiring connections. repair or replace the parts as necessary and install the thermal fuse kit according to the instructions.
