Tfixit for Model Number KUDS30IXSS4 Hi there my thermal fuse keeps blowing every couple of weeks. How do i find the problem because it is not always there. It seems to come and go randomly.
Answer Hello Tfixit, the thermal fuse kit should be part W10402110. When replacing this kit all parts of the kit need to be replaced each time it trips as per the manufacturer. Also, this is a thermal fuse, it only trips when there is excessive heat near it. The tub heater will not trip it. If the kit is correctly installed and it trips again check the control board components for overheating also the main wire harness terminals where it connects to the board, those parts would need to be replaced it that is where the overheat problem is showing.
