Dan C for Model Number MH7130XEB2 I talked to your tech and he recommended you. My Whirlpool microwave was mfd in Korea - January of 2000. The unit suddenly shut down. All electric outlets and service panel switches were checked - none tripped off. The tech said I might need to replace the fuse -8183507 - which proved to be compatible when checked. Question: Can I access the fuse without taking the entire unit out? Can you offer tips on how I might approach the repair? If this sounds like the fuse is the issue, I should order the fuse. Please help!
Answer Hello Dan. No, you need to remove the outer cover to replace the fuse. Also, usually these blow due to bad door switches. So you will need to test the door switches. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
