Wright for Model Number MVWC400XW3 My Maytag Centennial washer (MVWC400XW3) is very loud during the spin cycle. When the tub is empty I can easily rotate it by hand, but it sounds like the bearings are not moving smoothly & quietly. The washer is about 4 years old and runs about a load a day. Does this sound like a bearing problem? If so, can the bearings be replaced separately, or does the whole transmission need to be replaced as a unit? Would a manufacturer refurbished transmission be expected to work as well as a new one? Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello Wright. Yes, the bearings are bad and the gearcase W11132267 will need to be replaced on the unit. We do not offer refurbished transmissions due to the fact that they fail. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 30, 2016
