By: Whirlpool
Part Number: OEM18028164
Manufacturer Part Number: WP4449263

The Oven Door Glass is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. This part is integral to the oven door, allowing users to view the interior of the oven without opening the door, thereby maintaining consistent oven temperatures and energy efficiency. The glass is engineered to withstand high temperatures, resisting cracking and breaking under the thermal stresses of regular oven use.

Causes of a bad Oven Door Glass can include thermal stress from high temperatures, impact damage from accidental knocks or items being dropped on the door, and wear and tear over time.

Symptoms of a bad Oven Door Glass include:

  • Visible cracks or chips in the glass
  • A shattered or broken glass panel
  • Difficulty in maintaining oven temperatures due to compromised insulation

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Reem for Model Number KGRA806PSS02

The Kitchenaid stove I have looks like this stove, but the model # inside the oven is erased from cleaning products. We have a stove in another rental unit model #: KGRA806PSS02 that looks like the stove with model # erased. Is there another location in the stove where we can find what model number it might be? The glass broke off the oven while our handy man was pulling the stove out. It is the inside glass that can't be touched when you open the oven door. Is there any way you can help determine which glass we need? My handy man said he opened up the oven door and cleaned the broken glass. He didn't find any insulation inside. Is this strange? Do we also need to purchase insulation? Thank you

Answer

Hello Reem, Since the glass can be different dimensions from model to model, it is strongly recommended to try to get the model number from the unit you are servicing. One method which is normally quite effective is to shine a strong flashlight on the units' I.D. tag from an angle. This will make it legible enough in most cases to get the needed parts. The inner glass for the model number provided is WP9757706 but as stated previously, we cannot guarantee this will fit the other unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
