Nick Peterson for Model Number 665.78002803 It turns out that I found a simple and direct way to access the bulb within the Lamp Mounting Assembly (Part # WP74009970). The assembly consists of a metal body with a glass front cover. The glass is held on by two pairs of metal fingers, one pair on each side. All I had to do was to pry up the fingers on one side, using a flat blade such as a pocket-knife, and the glass front came right off. Access and change the bulb, and snap the cover back in place. Please post this so other people will know.
Answer Nick, You must also remember, halogen lamp bulbs don't react well to the body oils and moisture in the skin. You need to wear gloves or use a paper towel when installing the replacement bulb. The moisture or oils cause the light bulb to "burn out" prematurely and will need to be replaced sooner than usual. Thanks, Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 23, 2017
