Answer Keith, The heat probes function is to extend heat from the defrost heater to the beginning portion of the defrost drain during the defrost cycle to keep the drain open so the water will drain out and not freeze before reaching the drain. The only way this is going to cause the drain to clog is if some foreign material gets in the drain...the drain should only have water from defrosting in the pan. Read More...
