Matt for Model Number MSD2454GR I am using this on my own Whirlpool refrigerator and it works great. My brother has a Maytag with the same drain freeze up problem but this strap is too short to get into the drain hole. Is there a way to extend this strap or is there a longer version?
Answer Hello Matt, There is no "longer" one made, but I have always used a piece of Romex, (home wiring), with the insulation stripped off. All you have to do is make a large enough loop to hook it back around itself and make sure you don't make it long enough to ever contact the drain hose or any other plastic parts.
