Don for Model Number JCD2389GEW On testing the heater/thermostat: The thermostat reads less than .1 ohm; the heater reads 28 ohms. Is that low enough, or should it be completely closed, at 0 also?
Answer Hello Don. Both parts should have an ohms value. If the thermostat does not have one, you will need to replace the thermostat in the unit. If testing for continuity, not ohms, both parts should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
