Yoyo for Model Number lat5005aae Water seems to be leaking at top of hose connected to drain solenoid. Is this a part or just a junction to outside drain?
Answer YOYO, I believe you have a cracked or loose "tub to pump hose" WPY212989. It is a separate part of the drain system in the washer and a pretty quick easy repair, except for the water spillage. You don't have a "drain solenoid" but, you do have a belt driven drain pump with a hose going out the back of the washer to the drain standpipe. Replace the hose and you should be fine.
