Austin B for Model Number WFW8500SW I have a Whirlpool Duet machine and I have replaced the hose from the dispenser tray into the drum twice already this year. Do you know if this is a common problem? It seems that when the washer is working the tub has a tendency to rub against the end of the hose that attaches to the tub and gets worn, resulting in the area to slice the rubber at the end. Is there a way from stopping this from happening?
Answer Austin, this is not that common an issue. The dispenser hose W11366227 Is usually more than long enough, and the corrogated area allows for even more movement. You also want to check the tub suspension springs 280159 and dampers W10739670 and spinner basket, for excess movement and vibration due to worn suspension parts, etc. Read More...
