Elizabeth for Model Number Whirlpool GEW9250PW1 About a week ago the dryer stopped spinning. If you press the green button to illuminate the dryer controls they operate numbers are correct, indicator lights work, drum light works. Close the door press the start cycle, nothing happens. What should I change first? Thank you
Answer Elizabeth, The first thing to check would be the thermal fuse that is on the blower housing to ensure that it has continuity. If it does not then replace it and check the venting from the blower wheel to the outside of the home to make sure that the venting is clear. If the fuse has continuity then you will want to check the door switch to make sure that it has continuity in the closed position. Read More...
