Candace for Model Number GEW9250PW1 I think the user interface in my Whirlpool Duet clothes dryer (GEW9250PW1) needs replacing. Signs are lights are on in the drum but there's no response from any key pad keys and the lock indicator light glows continuously. Diagnostics with a multimeter on the control panel indicate that's fine so the user interface does seem to be the culprit. However I ordered a new interface (WP8558753) and when I connected it, I had the same problem. Is there a way to determine if the new interface is defective other than try ordering another and hope that one works? Thanks.
Answer Candace, This issue sounds like the control is in control lock out mode. You will want to try to hit the end of cycle signal button for 3 seconds and see if it comes out of the locked mode. If it does not then the issue will be a faulty main control board since user interface has already been replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 9, 2017
