Bobby Roberts for Model Number gd5shgxkb01 After 15 years the ice chute has suddenly started to build up ice crystals. The door still closes but the black foam face has indentations where it seals. I assume the heater has given up. I'm not comfortable with GEs fix of saving money with an alternate design that eliminated the heater. Is there a kit I can buy that includes the heated chute door? Your answer to a Kenmore question seemed to indicate this. In your experience how well does the non heated chute door (WP2180353) work keeping out the moisture/warmth that causes the crystal buildup?
