Tony What would cause my ice maker water flow to rapidly shut on and off during the tray fill cycle? I've already replaced the water inlet valve with no luck. The tray does fill to the proper level and makes ice. The copper fill tube rattles and vibrates badly as if the water flow was rapidly being turned off and on. Whirlpool refrig model #ED20TKXDWO1, ser# SF5067469. Thanks..Tony
Answer Tony, In most cases when you have a jumping water line it is caused by water flow going into the valve and through the system. This is normally caused by low water pressure in which you will want to check the incoming water pressure to make sure that it is above 20 psi. Also make sure that there is a good filter in the unit if there is a filter in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 11, 2014
