Thomas for Model Number WPW10190965 icemaker for JCD2595WEP02 refrigerator I bought the icemaker in July 2025. It worked fine until September 2025. I asked for help debugging and it was suggested to buy a $170 solenoid valve because it was not filling with water. Not wanting to spend an unnecessary $170, I tried the test procedure prescribed by Whirlpool. That involves jumping T&H to see whether it ejects the ice. It does not. My plan was to measure across the valve solenoid to make sure it was receiving the fill signal at the end of the cycle, but since the cycle does not occur, it seems I can’t test the valve. Whirlpool also says to measure across N&L to see if it has AC voltage. It does. I believe that means that the icemaker I bought in July is not working. Does that seem correct?
Answer Thomas, With the icemaker not ejecting ice, check the emitter and receiver board that is located on the sides of the freezer. Push the flap on the left side and if the light continues to flash then the emitter and receiver board is faulty and will need to be replaced. Read More...
