Martin for Model Number TS25AFXKQ03 I installed a new ice maker. That went pretty easy: three screws and a wiring harness. I changed the water filter and purged the line for five minutes. Still no ice. Now what?
Answer Hello Martin, If the unit never filled with water, I would change the water inlet valve W10408179. I would try forcing a cycle and see if it fills with water. (Force a cycle by using an insulated piece of wire to jump the 120Vac from T to H). If it does, you should take the freezer temperature to make sure the unit is achieving temperatures. The freezer should run between 0° and 10°F without dropping below 0°F. If it doesn't fill with water, the water inlet valve has failed or the fill tube is frozen up. If the fill tube is frozen up, the water inlet valve replacement will cure this issue. You will still have to thaw the fill tube out with a hair dryer. Read More...
