Jay for Model Number wed9400sw2 My Whirlpool dryer has a high pitch squeal. I can spray wd40 on the tension pulley, and this quiets it temporarily but it comes back. I think I need to replace the bearing, but not sure if part comes with bearing or just plastic tension wheel. What parts are needed to change out this pulley? Thank you
Answer Hello Jay, The only part you need is the idler pulley and the washers 279640. By the way, do not lubricate this part unless you use a dry lubricant. The manufacturer recommends baby powder or corn starch. Graphite is not recommended since if it were to get into the load, it will stain clothes. Read More...
