Daniel July 16, 2021 for Model Number 110.67751600 I have a Kenmore dryer (model number 110.67751600). I purchased the idler pulley because my dryer has been making a squealing noise (part 279640). The repair video that you have online is for a whirlpool dryer, but I was hoping that the repair would be pretty similar since you don't seem to have a video for my dryer. After getting the power plug disconnected and the screws off the back, I was able to get the top off of my dryer but the back seems to be soldered on and now I'm stuck. Is there a better way to access the idler pulley with this model? Should I be turning it on its side and trying to access it from underneath?
1 Answer Daniel, You would not go in through the back on the unit. If you remove the lower access panel at the bottom of the dryer you should be able to access the idler pulley. If you are not able to get to it without the drum being removed then just take the front panel where the door is loose and pull the drum. Read More...

Sylvia May 28, 2020 for Model Number WED9450WW1 Hi! My dryer was squealing. I had a local repairman come out to look at it. He said he lubricated something inside. The squealing stopped, but the dryer then had a knock knock noice when the drum was rotating. He said I need a new idler pulley. But after a day the knocking noise stopped, and now there’s no noise. Should we still replace the idler pulley? If so, should I order anything additional and have it replaced at the same time? Like the idler arm and/or belt? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Sylvia, if the noise was from a worn idler pulley then it needs to be replaced, idler arm assembly W10837240 and the drum belt 661570V. Read More...
Rich August 18, 2019 for Model Number MDE6200AYW Hi,replaced the drum rollers and belt on the dryer. When I slowly turn the drum to align the belt it keeps popping off the idler pulley on the side without a lip on it. I replaced the belt a few years ago with no problems. There is no twist in the belt. I'm at a loss! Thanks for any help. Rich
1 Answer Hello Rich, first, try aligning the belt by turning the drum slowly in one direction, if it comes off, try the other direction, if still coming off then check the idler pulley assembly for a bent arm, worn pulley or shaft. Read More...
