Dennis for Model Number WTW5540SQ0 We are experiencing water leaks with our washer. We took off the water inlet valve (wp8578341) and the screens were very dirty with muck and gunk. (That area was real wet). We cleaned it. We also took off the drain hose. It was dry at the bottom near the pump but way up at the top it was wet as well. I really don't know where the leaks are coming from multiple suspects. Any other thing we should look at?
Answer Dennis, The best option to determine a leak would be to turn the unit on and run the water and then start looking for leaks. Check the water valve the hoses and check to see if maybe it is the tub leaking where the rotor and stator are. If there is a tub seal leak then the the bearings would need replaced. Read More...
