Snowbird80 for Model Number WTW5600SQ0 Hi there. I have a Whirlpool model WTW5600SQ0 washing machine, and whenever it's set on the "cool," "warm," or "hot" water setting, it "stutters" (water turns on/off very rapidly, shaking the pipes and sounds fairly loud). After a few minutes, the water starts coming out normally. The cold rinse is fine, and if you set the whole cycle on cold, it's also normal. I had the repair guy out a couple months ago, and he replaced some kind of valve, but that didn't fix the issue. Any idea what this could be?
Answer Snowbird80, You will want to check to make sure that the water supply is good and make sure that the screens are not clogged on the valve. The other thing that would cause this issue would be a temp switch that is faulty. The temp switch is part number WP8578335 and would be possibly pulsing voltage to the valve. Read More...
