Stephan for Model Number Kenmore Dishwasher 665.17372301 Hello, On the water inlet, part # 8531325, there are 2 square holes on each side of this part, on the thin sides, just below the cap. I'm not talking about these 2 little hole to clamp the cap. Why is there 2 holes there? The water gets out from there while in the water fill cycle. I wanted to replace it but the new part has these 2 square holes too. Is my water pressure too high? I don't know what to do to avoid the water drops.
Answer Stephan, The slots on the sides of the assembly are aeration openings, these allow air to mix with the water during the fill cycle. Yes, you will need to check the water pressure to the dishwasher. You'll need to check the inside of the inlet for deposits that may have accumulated on the inside of the housing. If all's OK, replace the water inlet valve WP8531669. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 3, 2015
