Jim for Model Number KDTE334DSS1 Hello, My dishwasher is less than 3 years old and I found this valve leaking which caused damage to my cabinets and wood flooring. My water pressure is at where the city says it is normal. Is this something I need to change every 2 years to reduce a leak? On the water inlet valve, why is it made with a flip top instead of 1 piece, the small lock tabs and the lid still allow water to leak from here as well as the 2 square holes that allow for water to leak. It seems to be a possible flaw in the design of the part. The only reason I could see a flip top is for clearing a restriction but wouldn't there a restriction in the filter 1st. Just doesn't seem like the best design possible. And if you look into the top the cap before flipping it into the body, there are 2 open areas( part of the maze set up ) that actually can push the water to the 2 square air inlets causing a leak. Why not eliminate that maze or change how the maze is direct into the center instead of the air bleed holes. That would reduce the leak.
Answer Jim, This inlet assembly is not a normal component that would leak. If the part developed a leak then it would just need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, April 16, 2018
