Hello11 for Model Number Whirlpool DW GU2200XTSB-3 (March 22, 2011)Model Number: Whirlpool DW GU2200XTSB-3 The dishes on the top rack are left dirty. Especially the ones in the corners of the rack. We have replaced the lower inlet valve and that seemed to fix the problem for about 4 weeks. Could this be the valve inlet to the upper rack? If so, how do I get at it? ( March 23 2011)Pro's reply-Hello. You will need to remove the spray arms and make sure they are clear of debris. There is only one inlet valve on this unit. Also check the float and make sure it is clean, allowing enough water to come into the unit. Hope this helps. ( March 24, 2011) Cont'd: We have cleaned the spray arms and sump. Still getting a white film on dishes on top rack. I have checked float and it moves up and down freely. Spray arms start to move while float is still in open position. Float is floating when I open door and water is in tub. My tub has not overflowed so I know the float must close. FYI: I use Cascade Complete. What next?
Answer Hello. It sounds like from everything that you have described all of the components of the dishwasher are working properly. The only other suggestions I would have would be to check the water temperature to make sure it is hot enough. The temperature should be at least 120 degrees. The only other possibility is water condition. If it is leaving a film then it sounds like a mineral build up in the water. Hope this helps. Read More...
