John for Model Number MER6875AAS Maytag Gemini Double Oven Both ovens in our double oven have been running 50 to 100 degrees hotter than the set temperature. I have checked the temp sensors and they measure about 1100 ohms at room temp, so I assume they are good based on other website discussion boards. Can the control board (AP4427175) be re-calibrated, or will it need to be replaced? Do you sell just the circuit board assembly, or do I have to buy the whole unit with the switch panel? Also, if this doesn't fix the problem, can the control board be returned? Or is it possible that the temp sensors are bad (definitely easier and cheaper to replace) ? Thank you in advance for your help.
Answer Hello John. These can be calibrated, but not that much. Usually is 35°. Also, there is a 25° above and below the set temp. Usually the instructions are in the owners manual of how to calibrate the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 16, 2013
