Jeanine for Model Number MER6875AAS This is a Maytag double oven. I ran a cleaning cycle in the lower oven. Now, the lower element in the lower oven does not shut off even though the temp sensor measures that it has achieved the programmed temp. In other words, if I turn the oven on to "bake" at 350, the lower element will turn on and glow. The stove then beeps to show that the oven is preheated, but the element just stays on. If I wait another minute and reprogram it to "bake" at 400, it beeps to show that it's already preheated to that higher temp, meaning (I think) that the heating element just keeps cranking out power even though it seems like the relay should have shut it off. Is this a control board issue or an element issue? Don't think it's the temp sensor since it does seem to be registering the change in oven temp.
Answer Hello Jeanine. You will need to order and replace the control board WP5701M799-60 on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 14, 2015
