B North for Model Number MER6875AAS My lower oven element shorted out/sparks/melted in a section. I replaced the element but it will not heat. Removed new element and measured voltage when oven was turned on and only measure 51 to 54 VAC at terminal wires for that element. New element is good - measures 22ohms. Might it possibly be a control board failure when the old element burned up?
Answer B. North, With the oven not heating and the element being new then this would most likely be caused by a faulty control board on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 11, 2017
