Jay for Model Number JDR8895AAS The oven control board was replaced in my Jenn-Air in January 2016. Last week the control board went up again. It shut off and went totally blank after the upper oven ran at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes with a pan of water being heated. Are there any other parts/factors, not part of the control board, that can kill it? Is there a cooling fan that may have failed first? Could steam exhausted from the oven just below the control board damage it? I have a surge protection in my homes electrical service, so it should not have been killed by an electrical surge. Putting in a new control board will avoid spending $2,500 for a new comparable oven, but I'm wondering for how long?
Answer Jay, For this issue, the oven control board would be the issue and there would be no cooling fan on the unit. The venting does come from underneath the control panel but sounds like it would just be a bad board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 1, 2018
