Colleen for Model Number RS696PXGQ13 Our glass cooktop is broken. I think I could use either the black or white for that model. The black is out of stock but the white is in stock and how hard is it to replace the top ? Is there any instructions for replacing the top ? Thanks
Answer Hi Colleen. The black glass is still made but not available right now unfortunately. It is part # WPW10134951. The white glass is part # WPW10134950. Remove the power. Support the counter top with a few towels so you lift the unit up and then set it "kitty-corner" diagonally with the cut corners to support the unit. Then remove the knobs and chrome trim. This will access the glass top. Then use a vacuum to remove all broken glass debris. Use any foam supplied to re support under the glass top so it will set in between the counter top and the bottom side of the glass . Thank You. Read More...
