Scott for Model Number KHHC2090SSS-2 I tried replacing the surface light bulbs with 2 watt, 12 volt, LED equivalents to hopefully lengthen the bulbs life and reduce heat/power consumption. However, they will not illuminate when switched on. If I replace one of the LED’s with a standard 10 watt, 12 volt, halogen bulb, then both light will illuminate properly. Is there something in the lighting circuit that requires a minimum current draw to allow the lights to function? If I’m using two 2 watt LED’s, which only draws 4 watts total, is this insufficient for the lighting circuit to function properly? Appreciate and help or comments!
Answer Scott, the bulbs would need to draw more current so that proper current flow can operate both lights as they are on a parallel series circuit. By utilizing lower watt bulbs, the current is not going to flow through the relay properly to allow the bulbs to illuminate. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 27, 2020
