Karen for Model Number MDB7601AWW Model #MDB7601AWW. I'm replacing the original latch assembly (includes handle). The 2 terminals/switches on the original latch were both white plastic, so I marked which side the white (neutral) and black (hot) wires hooked into, but the 2 terminals/switches on the new part W10130697 are made up of two plastic halves, one side white the other black. One side of the latch has a terminal with the white on the outside, the other side has the terminal with the black on the outside. Is that to indicate which wire hooks to each terminal? If so, the connections are the opposite of the original. I don't know enough about electricity to test the wires. Does the switch with the black on the outside connect to the black wire?
