Fred for Model Number MVWB865GW0 I believe the lid latch is bad on my Maytag model MVWB865GW0 , #1 how do you test the motor and #2 how do you replace the switch. I have removed the 2 screws which secure the switch but do not see where the wire is attached.
Answer Hello Fred, to access the main control board wire harness connections, at the rear of the control panel console remove the top 2 screws, then with a putty knife at the front opposite sides of the control panel slide a putty knife under the right then left front ends of the console where it meets the washer top, depress the spring clips and lift the console, the control board is under the console, .For testing your washer came with a Technical testing sheet it is located behind the front cabinet panel near the top, it has all testing procedures and component specs.
