Dado A. for Model Number mah3000aww The original lip seal for my washer is a lot thinner than the new revised lip seal, and it is sticking out more about 16th of an inch and now it's having a hard time to spin. I discovered that the flywheel is rubbing on the plastic tub at the back I loosened it up but it's still rubbing. The shaft is not sticking out far enough. The more I try to pull the shaft to make it stick out more, the more it binds. What did I do wrong?
Answer Hello Dado. It sounds like the bearings are not seated properly. These are pressed in from the factory. You will need to make sure the bearings seat all the way down. They are very tight to install. You may need to use a rubber mallet to seat them properly, but be careful not to damage the tub assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
