Bill for Model Number A482 My old Maytag is leaking some oil from the bottom oil seal. After removing the pulley and brake assembly I do not see an oil seal. All I see is what appears to be a brass bushing in the place where the oil seal should be. I am at a loss of how to remove this bushing since I assume it is pressed in place from the bottom. Have you seen this?
Answer Bill, If the brass bushing is flush with the shaft of the transmission and there is no recess then you will need to replace the transmission. If there is a recess then the seal can be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 15, 2015
