Alicia Hi, I have a Whirlpool Gold microwave (model # GH8155XJB-0 serial # XC K 30 10434) which is 10 years old this month. Recently, it began making a very loud humming sound (coming from the top right of the appliance) when I try to use it. I tried warming a small bowl of water for 20 seconds. It did not warm, and there was a 'burnt" smell in the cabinet when I opened the door. My husband is an electician and we would much prefer saving this unit to purchasing another. Any suggestions? Thank you.
