Brian for Model Number Whirlpool GB2FHDXZB01 Cold freezer - warm refrigerator. The evaporator fan was not spinning. Gave the blades a spin with my hand and the fan came on. Turned the thermostat down until the fan shut off. I then turned the thermostat back up and checked the voltage going to the fan and got 110 volts but the fan was not spinning until I "helped" it out again. I am assuming that my fan motor is shot but I've also read many questions on here were they changed out the fan and had the same issues with the new fan. I don't want to spend $100 to replace a motor that is okay. Would a new fan solve my problem?? Thanks!
Answer Brian, Yes the fan would be the issue with the unit if the fan is getting 110vac to it but not turning the fan on. You will want to replace the fan. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, December 2, 2015
