Jonathan for Model Number KSSC48QMS01 Power out for 6 days after Hurricane Irma. Ice maker now makes ice, but when I press the ice dispenser lever, there is no noise of the dispenser motor working. Is there a reset, or something else I should check or do before replacing the motor?
Answer Hello Jonathan. You will need to test and see if there is power coming to the dispenser motor on the unit. If there is power there and the unit does not run, you will need to order and replace the dispenser motor on the unit. Thank you. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
