Kevin for Model Number Whirlpool GD5PHAXMS10 I bought this model but testing by running 120VAC through pin 3 and 5 gave no responses. Are there any other ways to ensure that the motor is working before installing to the fridge? Thank you in advance.
Answer Kevin, You can't test run the motor in that fashion. If you haven't damaged the motor, you need to attach the harness to the motor and test run it, or run VAC and VDC checks at the harness connection to verify the "switch pack" and wiring are working.
