Kevin for Model Number GD5PHAXMS10 SN: SR1425729 The fridge stopped dispensing ice. I tested the connectors to the motor and found 120VAC at pin 3 and 5 being supplied from the control board when activated. Then I pull the motor out from the fridge and ran 120VAC from a wall-outlet through pin 3 and 5 of the motor with no responses. I did the same thing to both motors that I received from you and they did not respond to the test. My thoughts have been that if a motor operates when I give it 120VAC through those pins then when I put it in the fridge, it will run when I activate the switch. Are there any other suggestions on how to test these motors to ensure that they're operating as normal before installing them. As now, I'm positive that they will not fix the problem once I put them in
Answer Hello Kevin. You can not test the motor like that. It will need to be installed. You are dropping neutral and voltage is supplied to the terminals in sequence. Install the motor WP2212363 and it should work correctly, if it wasn't damaged by hooking it up outside the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
