Berj F for Model Number kss048qmb01 Part #2212363 Kitchaid side by side. During hurricane sandy, the ice melted and must have leaked into the auger motor. since it refroze, the auger has not worked. I took out the motor, thawed it out but it still doesn't work. Is there any way to test to see if the motor is ruined?
Answer Hello Berj, You can test to see if you are getting power to the dispenser motor. If you are getting power to dispenser motor then the motor is seized and will need to be replaced. Test using multi-meter between L1 and neutral and you should be getting 120 vac when the dispenser lever is pushed and the light switch pushed in. Read More...
