Manufacturer Part Number: W11133712

The Circulation Pump is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This component drives the water flow throughout the dishwasher, ensuring efficient cleaning performance. It helps to distribute the water evenly, reaching every corner of the dishwasher, and effectively removing food particles and stains.

Causes of a faulty circulation pump can include wear and tear over time, blockage due to debris or foreign objects, or electrical component failure. These factors can result in reduced water pressure, inadequate cleaning, or the dishwasher not operating at all.

Symptoms of a bad circulation pump may include:

  • Weak or no water spray during the wash cycle
  • Incomplete or unsatisfactory cleaning results
  • Unusual noises coming from the dishwasher

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Crystal, I think first off i would kill power to unit using the home breaker panel.Leave off a couple minutes then reapply power and test unit. You can also test wash motor on control for 5-15 ohms between pins 14-2 and 14-1 on control. If test passes then control part #W10804121 would fix your issue. If fails then part # WPW10482480 is sump assembly.

Answer

Crystal, Remove power, access and disconnect the two wires from the motor connection. Restore power and start the dishwasher. Once the machine fills and should be washing, use a test light or multi meter and check for 120 VAC across the two wires to the motor. If you have the voltage, replace the pump motor. If there is no voltage, replace the control board, the imbedded fuse or a circuit has failed and there's no power to the motor to make it run.
