Crystal for Model Number WDF510PAYWA My dishwasher is filling with water but not spraying. I checked the spray arms and they are fine so I assume it is the pump. Is this correct? Anything else I should check first?
Answer Crystal, I think first off i would kill power to unit using the home breaker panel.Leave off a couple minutes then reapply power and test unit. You can also test wash motor on control for 5-15 ohms between pins 14-2 and 14-1 on control. If test passes then control part #W10804121 would fix your issue. If fails then part # WPW10482480 is sump assembly. Answer Crystal, Remove power, access and disconnect the two wires from the motor connection. Restore power and start the dishwasher. Once the machine fills and should be washing, use a test light or multi meter and check for 120 VAC across the two wires to the motor. If you have the voltage, replace the pump motor. If there is no voltage, replace the control board, the imbedded fuse or a circuit has failed and there's no power to the motor to make it run. Read More...
