Douglas J for Model Number GU2300XTVS1 Hello, I have a 1 year old GU2300XTVS1 dish washer, I am having issues with the top rack of dishes not getting clean. the dishes don't appear to be getting clean at all. I have done some troubleshooting trying to figure out the root cause. it appears the there is no or not enough water going to the upper wash assembly. I removed and checked for plugging in the manifold and Arm-Spray, both were clear. It also appears that the Arm-Spray does not spin un the pressure from the water, but it spins freely by hand. It appears that the bottom spray assembly works correctly. It appears that there is plenty of water in the bottom of the tub, it looks like approximately 3" of water. Is this the proper part to correct my issue. Also could you please include installation instructions.
Answer Douglas, Did you also check the accumulator inlet slots and screen for deposits and detergent build up. You may not have enough hot water in the tub, to produce the proper pressure and water flow. A quick easy check, Remove the lower rack and start the dishwasher, Allow the dishwasher to fill and wash for three to five minutes, then unlatch the door and wait a few seconds, Open the door and check the water level in the bottom of the tub, it should be in contact with the bottom of the heater element, and be at least 120 dgrs. F. if not there's not enough hot water in the machine and you'd want to check and make sure the float and float switch are moving freely, then replace the fill valve W10648041 Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
