Khosrow for Model Number KUDM01TJBL0 Hello, Our KitchenAid Dishwasher Model: KUDM01TJBL0 has stop washing. The tub fills in with hot water but afterward one-second humming noise starts intermittently every 3-4 second interval without any action. As time passes on the intervals between humming grow longer and longer with the same humming noise punctuating the silence in between. Finally, when the cancel button is pressed, it empties the tub completely. What is wrong and what do I need to do?
Answer Khosrow, You're on the right track, you could have a weak motor winding, or loose connection. You may also have debris down inside the volute and jamming the pump impeller, causing the motor to stall and not run. You'll need to remove the motor from the pump and check.
