Birdieman for Model Number Kitchenaid KUDP01ILBL1 Dish washer fills with water, but when wash cycle starts there is no water spray - none. During wash it makes a loud buzzing/humming noise. After a while I hit cancel and it drains fine. I measured the resitance of the motor through the connector per wiring diagram. Violet-blue = 6.6 Ohms, violet-yellow = 4.5 Ohms. Capacitor is not short or open - meaasured 19MOhms and increasing. I also pulled the motor and the shaft turns, but too stiff to turn with hand on impeller - I had to use a socket driver. I cannot see any obstruction. So...is my motor bad? If so, is it Part Number: AP4434021 Made by Whirlpool. Please advise. BTW - excellent Q/A section! Thanks.
Answer Birdieman, Sounds like your motor bearings have seized up, based on your post information/description. Yes, you will need a new wash motor.
