John for Model Number WDF750SAYM0

Dishwasher does not fill any water. I replaced the water inlet valve, and that did not help. I hear just weird clicking noise and it would not fill any water at all. Sine I wasn't sure where the clicking noise was coming from, I tried disconnecting the wires to the diverter, and it didn't make any clicking noise. Does that mean the diverter motor needs to be replaced? If so, is W10476222 the right part number. What is the purpose of the diverter motor? How can I test if the diverter motor is functioning properly?

Answer

John, Yes the clicking noise would indicate the W10537869 diverter motor sensors aren't producing the data back to the control board, it could also be the cause of your no fill problem as well. the control board has to see the diverter in a certain position in order to operate and fill properly. If you remove the lower kickplate panel, you should find the tech data sheet attached to the back of the panel, you can program into the diagnostic mode and check for the diagnosis error codes, it'll help in directing and confirming the problem.
